Having a great technique is a massive bonus but if it is not married to a great attitude it is impossible to play golf consistently to a high level.

"Having a Great Attitude"

In my experience, most players give out to themselves when they hit a bad shot but never give credit when they hit a good shot. This is a damaging policy which makes no sense whatsoever. Can you imagine your playing partner behaving like this towards you on the course. That person would not be your playing partner for long.People who find some joy and success at golf, are those who have a GREAT ATTITUDE.We cannot always control the ball but we can certainly control our attitude. The biggest mistake that people make is that they let what happens on the course control their attitude. The  key is to accept a bad shot on the course and move on and give yourself plenty of encouragement when you hit a good shot.

Tiger Woods Caddy  Steve williams always encourages Tiger and never passes any negative comments. If the best player in the world needs constant encouragement what is the point in the average player beating themselves up on the course.Negative comments make us tense resulting in more bad shots. If we can relax, we will be less tense in our minds, shoulders, arms, hands and fingers. Tension is the number one deterrent to improving one’s golf game. Remember, golf’s a game, have some fun with it.

Remember we must try to improve our mental game just as we improve our physical game and the only way to do this is to practice our mental game.If we keep making the same mistakes we will continue to get the same results.
